![]() ![]() I just got another keyboard (K70 LUX) to add to a laptop I am using (older CPU, Intel i5, 8GB RAM (plenty, I don't use all of it) and 1TB SSD for main drive), and while I am very happy with the keyboard, iCUE software has made a turn for the worse, and I'm not sure when it happened. ![]() I've purchased RAM, power supplies, and especially keyboards (the only ones that let me type as fast as I want to, and do so accurately). I keep my computer VERY UNloaded (as close to 0% as possible), because I want/need the horsepower for more important things.įirstly, I want to commend Corsair, as they have done a HUGE amount of things right. While I have an older CPU, I'm a 23-year veteran programmer and I write drivers for a living. I've tried a clean install of iCue, removing all widgets from the monitoring dashboard, disabled plugins and SDK, show only connected devices, everything. The rvice process uses constantly around 7.5% cpu until i quite the software, it then returns to around 1% thereafter.Īfter researching this, I don't have any RGB ram to disable in iCUE which some people have reported is the issue. Honestly, didn't even think of any other software.įor someone getting this in 2020 - Check in Dragon Centre under Mystic Light.I'vee been having high CPU usage with iCUE throughout quite a few versions now which actually affects me to the point that i need to quit the app and just go with hardware settings. Just for that sneaky MSI DragonCentre/Mystic Light to be taking control. Reinstalled iCue, reinstalled USB drivers. ![]() Gonna leave this up here though if anyone else goes through this problem.Įven a year later! Thanks for that Edit bro! struggling for a bit, everytime like a few minutes after restart/Start, my keyboard and mouse kept going to Red. I had MSI software that was taking control over just those specific devices for some reason. Edited Octoby castlebAbyĮDIT: figured it out. Gonna leave this up here though if anyone else goes through this problem. I'm just so confused :bigeyes:ĮDIT: figured it out. If anyone has any ideas or needs more information please let me know. I did a few other things the first time, before I uninstalled ICUE to try and fix it, including updating my keyboard and mousepad, deleting the default (and only) profile, clicking the "view only selected effect" and nothing worked, so I uninstalled, reinstalled, thought it was fixed, and now we are right back where we started. ICUE shows the keyboard and mousepad as lit up red, but the only lighting affects shown in ICUE are spiral rainbow. I will also say that before I sign into my computer, they work on what I assume is their internal programming to do spiral rainbow before they connect to ICUE? Basically, they are doing their normal thing when I boot up my computer, and then go straight to red after I sign in. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of icue, which seemed to fix it yesterday, but I have come home from work today, turned my computer back on, and back they go to red. I literally have no other profiles but the default profile. My mouse (dark core RGB), my headset (Void pro Wireless), and my RAM (4 Vengence RGB Pro) are all working fine, and are puking rainbows like normal. My keyboard (k95 RGB Platinum) and my mousepad (MM800 RGB Polaris) are stuck on red.įirst I want to say I have other corsair products that aren't stuck. ![]()
